Project Name: MPCIS Maintenance Contract
Client: PT. British American Tobacco (BAT) Indonesia
Implementation: 1 January 2005 - 31 December 2005

Description

After the project has been completed, existing Real-time Databases archived all production data required by FDC application. Hence, this Real-Time Industrial Database System plays a very important role for PT. BAT Indonesia. This database is running on Microsoft SQL Server with Industrial SQL Server. The real-time and historical data are taken from PLC are stored at Historical Block of Industrial SQL Server.

However, PLC that are installed and operated at BAT sometime can give invalid / freeze data that is caused by some possibilities, such as hardware failure, network failure, missing tags, etc. This situation may cause the data that is archived at Industrial SQL Server becomes invalid and it can not be used. To overcome some problems of Industrial SQL Database, it is necessary to maintain all the system operation and it is also required to develop a control mechanism to avoid the invalid archived data at Industrial SQL such all data gathered is valid and useful for other applications.

The maintenance also include FDC database and its application, since FDC data also depend on the layer below it, that is FDC data also depend on real-time database data. If data from real-time database is valid, then the FDC data also valid, and conversely if data from real-time database is not valid, FDC data also will not valid.
