Project Name:Capturing Block-B Oil Downtime Metric And Gas Physical Availability
Client: PT. ConocoPhillips Indonesia
Implementation: 2003

Description

At this time, ConocoPhillips produce oil and gas, in order to fulfill customer demand, ConocoPhillips has to analyze their performance data. These data include Downtime, Gas physical availability, Gas commercial availability and Gas Capacity loss data. Downtime data (both for oil and gas) are necessary for analyzing lost of opportunity. It also useful for decision maker to make better planning for well, platform or field to reduce the downtime itself and make necessary action to minimize lost of opportunity. Gas Physical availability data are necessary for monitoring total gas, which deliver to buyers and compare it with target. If total gas that delivered to buyers is lower from target, it will make lost of opportunity. So, this data is very useful to make better planning to deliver gas exactly the same with target from buyers. Gas Commercial data are necessary for monitoring amount of price from total gas, which deliver to buyers. This data is very useful for make better action to reduce lost of opportunity. Gas Capacity Loss data are necessary for analyzing compressor capability. To gain more effective and efficient of compressor use, the powerful compressor capability is highly required. For this purpose, compressor maximum capacity must be acquired every day. This is also to reduce capacity loss and also to make compressor life much longer. FDC actually has been capturing data from HangTuah Compressor (FT210) automatically every hour. Together with data from DM2000 (not yet captured by FDC), compressor maximum capacity can acquire every day. This data is very useful to make better planning for compressor use for the next day to reduce capacity loss.

Beside those data, FDC also has been capturing others important data, and FDC user can query the data easily for used later. These systems have two kinds of input there are automatically (No need manual intervention from operator) and manual input from operator.

In this project, we’ve implemented an Add on for FDC system to capture Gas physical data, Gas Commercial data, and Gas capacity loss data. We’ve provided three ways to capture those data, they are automatically capture, excel interfacing and an application to capture the data. In this project, PT.SPC personnel were working for LAPI ITB in executing the project.
