Allocation System

In order to maintain the effectiveness and efficiency of the plant process, there are numbers of steps that need to be taken in controlling the process. The policies to perform those steps are taken based on the trustable field data. The data are usually taken from the metering device installed.

The metering device is usually expensive, so they are not installed in every well / spot in the pipeline. There are some spots which are not metered using those devices. Often your only option is to back allocate production and sales to determine well production, inventory, and sales ownership.

Series of calculation procedure are conducted in order to determine the flow from the wellheads, and to determine the allocation from those wellheads.

Using our software, Graphical Allocation Network (GRAN), you can easily allocate production, sales and dispositions (fuel, flare, venting, gas injection, etc) for accounting and reporting purposes. Allocations can be based on well tests or “Virtual Metering System” based on IPR (Inflow Performance Relationships) curve. No matter how large or complex the network is, our software incorporates every detail into the back allocation process.
